PredictMarkets provides a place to contribute your views on real-world events by buying and selling contracts within our markets, for free. Anyone is able to participate and trade on PredictMarkets.

We create markets relating to upcoming and topical events which large numbers of people are likely to have an opinion on. If you agree with a particular prediction then you "buy" a corresponding contract in that market, and vice versa.

By aggregating people's views (buying and selling contracts) the market as a whole will reflect the probability of the prediction occuring, according to the people who have participated in that market. Those who predict correctly are rewarded with virtual cash.
